Scorecard Tools

What are community Scorecards?

Community scorecards are participatory tools used to engage the community for assessment, planning, monitoring and evaluation of health services.

During routine community forums, service users are invited to rate the local health facilities’ quality of care. Actions are then taken and monitored to improve the quality of service and facilities. The data created by community discussions can be incorporated into routine data collection to produce quarterly scorecards to inform budget and planning decisions.
