Eswatini’s End Malaria Fund gala dinner raises funds to boost national malaria programme
At a recent gala dinner, the End Malaria Fund Eswatini brought together over 20 private sector companies and notable figures. Celebrated artist and fund board member Yvonne Chaka Chaka and the Honourable Minister of Finance Neal Rijkenberg attended, rallying support for the fight against malaria. The event successfully raised E750,000 (approximately US$42,220) to support Eswatini’s national malaria control programme.

Launched in 2019 by His Majesty King Mswati III, the End Malaria Fund Eswatini is a powerful example of how domestic resource mobilisation and public-private collaboration can drive progress in malaria elimination efforts.
As global financing for malaria faces mounting pressure, innovative platforms like End Malaria Councils and Funds are more critical than ever.
They offer a complementary approach to traditional funding mechanisms, unlocking new streams of support through multisectoral partnerships.
This serves as a reminder that to end malaria, we must diversify our financing strategies and rally all sectors.
