  1. Namibia’s Malaria scorecard for accountability and action

Namibia’s malaria scorecard for accountability and action was developed in 2016 by the Ministry of Health and Social Services. Led by the National Vector-Borne Diseases Control Programme and supported by partners, the scorecard is used to increase awareness about the malaria situation, support the identification of bottlenecks and drive action. Since its rollout, ALMA has supported the country in the strengthening of the scorecard management tool and orientation of regional health information officers.

  1. Namibia’s RMNCAH scorecard for accountability and action

Namibia’s RMNCAH scorecard for accountability and action, was developed by Ministry of Health and Social Services in 2014 with support from ALMA and partners. The scorecard tool is used to track key maternal and child health indicators, identify bottlenecks and drive action. Since its rollout, ALMA has been supporting the Ministry of Health in the strengthening of the scorecard management tool and orientation of regional health information officers.

3. Namibia’s Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) control and elimination scorecard

Drawing from experiences from the RMNCAH and malaria scorecards tools to drive action and accountability, the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MOHSS) led the development of Namibia’s NTD Control and Elimination scorecard Tool in 2019.  The scorecard tool is used to increase awareness about NTDs, track key indicators, identify bottlenecks and drive action. Having the NTD scorecard has been a good opportunity to raise the visibility of these neglected diseases within the MOHSS and, provided a roadmap towards a completion of the NTD strategic plan.
