Webinar for the launch of the new ALMA Scorecard Hub and Kenya’s experience with scorecard for accountability and action
Join us on Tuesday 23 March at 4pm East Africa Time (2pm West Africa Time, 3pm Central Africa Time) for an exciting webinar about the launch of the new ALMA Scorecard Hub and Kenya’s experience with scorecard management tools. The event will be in English, with French translation available.
Co-hosted by African Leaders Malaria Alliance (ALMA) and Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) – our valued partner – the webinar will include remarks and presentations from Joy Phumaphi (ALMA’s Executive Secretary), Anna Hakobyan (CIFF’s Chief Impact Officer) and Dr Bashir Issak, Head, Department of Family Health from Kenya’s Ministry of Health.
This is part of the hub’s webinar series to highlight the innovative and impactful way ministries of health across Africa are using scorecard management tools. We are planning many more informative webinars, showcasing the great scorecard work of various countries across Africa.
Introducing the ALMA Scorecard Hub
In February, His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta, President of the Republic of Kenya and ALMA chair, launched the ALMA Scorecard Hub. The hub website provides countries and partners with access to knowledge about scorecard management tools for accountability and action.
The launch of the ALMA Scorecard Hub is an exciting opportunity for countries to publicly share their scorecards and best practices on how they have used the tool to improve advocacy, action, resource mobilisation and accountability for improved health service delivery and outcomes.
Joy Phumaphi, ALMA’s Executive Secretary
In this webinar, you will discover how you can use the Scorecard Hub to share scorecards and best practices and how to improve your own scorecard tools.
Scorecard tools have been proven to drive high level political accountability that leads to action for policy and social change based on evidence for improved decision making. The ALMA Scorecard Hub enables countries to share ideas and learn from each other to help transform health services.
Anna Hakobyan, CIFF’s Chief Impact Officer
Kenya’s scorecard tool experience
For many years, Kenya has been at the forefront of scorecard best practices. Kenya uses scorecard tools to monitor progress in malaria, nutrition, vaccinations and reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (RMNCAH).
In this webinar, Dr Bashir Issak from Kenya’s Ministry of Health will showcase how they use scorecard tools to improve health outcomes across the country.
