Volunteer to be a member of the ALMA Youth Advisory Council
Membership of the council is currently full. We are not currently taking any further applications to join the council. Learn about other ways you can get involved in the fight against malaria and the movement for universal health coverage.
Selection criteria for being appointed as a council member
To be eligible to join the council, members need to be:
- a young person from Africa or the diaspora, aged between 15 and 35 years old
- experienced working with continental, regional or national stakeholders working in health, development or other related areas
- able to liaise with youth networks and passionate about finding solutions to health issues
- knowledgeable about malaria and universal health coverage
- able to work in a multicultural team and environment
- excellent at communicating and enthusiastic
- available and willing to work voluntarily, attend ALMA youth-related planned meetings for the during of your membership (ALMA covers travel-related costs)
- a team player who can work with various teams in ALMA, the African Union and various partners
- fluent in English or French, other African Union languages will be an added advantage (Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish, Kiswahili)
