ALMA SUPPORTS THE GAMBIA IN DEVELOPING NATIONAL MALARIA CONTROL AND ELIMINATION SCORECARD

From 2-9 May 2016, the ALMA secretariat provided support to The Gambia’s Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in the development of their Malaria Control and Elimination scorecard. Key outputs included a workshop on selection of indicators for the scorecard, training sessions to build local capacity, and the finalization of the first national Malaria Control and Elimination scorecard. The government will use the scorecard and action tracker management tool to identifying bottlenecks and track actions to resolve those bottlenecks, as the country prepares itself for the road to malaria elimination.
