ALMA STAFF PARTICIPATE IN A WHO-LED PEER REVIEW AND CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP.

Between November 14th and 18th, ALMA staff attended a WHO-led peer review and capacity building workshop for malaria surveillance monitoring and evaluation for Anglophone national malaria control programs in Africa. Representatives from 19 countries attended and were supported to analyze their data and use it to evaluate their respective malaria situations. The ALMA scorecard for action and accountability was discussed as an example of data utilization for decision-making. There was agreement on indicator monitoring and reporting needs to track progress towards the Malaria Global Technical Strategy targets.
